S™/SS™/SP™ Self-Clinching Nuts

PEM S™/SS™/SP™ Self-Clinching Nuts prevent fasteners from rotating after installation and are installed permanently on aluminum, steel, or stainless steel sheets. The S/SS nuts provide load-bearing threads in thin sheets with high pushout and torque-out resistance, while the SP nuts provide strong load-bearing threads in stainless steel sheets as thin as .030" (0.8mm). PEM S/SS nuts are recommended for use in steel or aluminum sheets HRB 80/HB 150 or less, and the SP nuts are for use in stainless steel sheets HRB 90/HB 192 or less.

PreTect™ Threaded Masking Plugs

PEM PreTect™ Threaded Masking Plugs are designed to protect threads from paint and powder-coating processes on standard-type self-clinching nuts. The masking plugs are available in a variety of thread sizes and materials, including heat-treated carbon steel. The PEM PreTect Threaded Masking Plugs withstand temperatures up to 250°C, which reduces user labor and increases production throughput. The PreTect fasteners are shipped with the plugs in place, though they are easily removed with a fine tip tool.
